Pictures of the LMS Pilgrimage to Glastonbury

The LMS Pilgrimage was held on Monday 8th September 2014 to celebrate the birthday of Our Lady. The Mass was celebrated by Fr Bede Rowe, this being his last Mass for in the Clifton Diocese for the foreseeable future and we are very grateful to him for what was a lovely Mass.  We are also grateful to Fr Finan for granting permission for the Mass to take place in his parish church of Our Lady of Glastonbury.  It was unfortunate that the Mass could not be held in the Lady Chapel in the Abbey grounds, but this was due to the Lady Chapel being renovated.

Fr Bede gave a thought provoking homily about Our Lady's birthday and how by celebrating it we as humans can identify with the human aspect of Jesus through his relationship with his Mother and also through our own maternal relationships.

After the Mass we had lunch in the parish hall, which was well attended and thanks to Kim for providing the use of the hall and tea and coffee.
