Additional Latin Masses - Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-super-Mare







Father Alex Redman will be celebrating two additional Latin Low Masses at Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-super-Mare for All Saints Day on Tuesday 1st November 2016 and All Souls Day on Wednesday 2nd November 2016 both at 11.00 am.

Please note that there will be an additional Latin Mass on Sunday 18th September 2016 in Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-super-Mare commencing at 11.30am. As well as the normal Sunday Latin Mass on Sunday 25 September 2016 at 11.30am.

There will be a Low Mass celebrating the Feast of SS Peter and Paul at Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-Super-Mare on Wednesday 29th June 2016 commencing at 11.00 am. The celebrant will be Father Alexander Redman.

Change of Date for the Downside High Mass and Cancellation of the Corpus Christi High Mass




Please note that the Downside High Mass due to take place on 14 May 2016 (Pentecost) has unfortunately had to be changed to St George's Day Saturday 23 April 2016 at 11.00am.  All are welcome to attend.

The Corpus Christi High Mass due to take place at Our lady of Lourdes, Weston-Super-Mare on Thursday 26 May 2016 has unfortunately been cancelled.

Special Mass Days to Remember in Clifton Diocese 2016

The Holy Family



There are several special Latin Masses being celebrated throughout the Clifton Diocese in 2016 and you are all invited to note the dates and are most welcome to attend.

Masses are as follows:

Ascension


A High Mass will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Yeovil on Thursday 5th May 2016 at 7.00pm.  The Celebrant will be Father Jean-Patrice Coulon.

Pentecost



A High Mass will be celebrated at Downside Abbey, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Radstock on Saturday 14th May 2016 at 11.00am.  The celebrant will be Dom Boniface.


Corpus Christi


A High Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-super-Mare on Thursday 26th May 2016 time to be confirmed. The celebrant will be Father Alexander Redman.


LMS Pilgrimage to Glastonbury

The annual LMS Pilgrimage to Glastonbury will take place on Saturday 10th September 2016. There will be a Mass held in the Lady Chapel, Abbey Grounds, Glastonbury at 11.00am followed by a Rosary Procession and after lunch Benediction in the church of Our Lady of Glastonbury. The celebrant will be Father Philip Thomas.


All Souls

A High Requiem Mass in Honour of the Holy Souls will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Bedminster, Bristol on Wednesday 2nd November 2016 at 7.30pm.  The celebrant will be Father Andrew Goodman.

SUNDAY MASSES AT OUR LADY OF LOURDES



Just a reminder that there is a regular Sunday Latin Mass on the 4th and 5th Sunday of each month at Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-Super-Mare at 11:30 am.  Fr Alex Redman who is the Parish Priest is the celebrant. Currently numbers attending are fairly low.  If you are in the area please do go along and support these Masses. Below are some photos of the Mass in November.

Pictures of the High Mass of Corpus Christi at Our Lady Of Lourdes Weston-Super-Mare

The High Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes was very well attended.
The Rupert Bevan Singers sang the following:
'Missa Octava' (Mass for eight voices) - Hans Leo Hassler
Offertory Motet 'Christe adoremus' - Monteverdi
Communion Motet 'Tantum ergo' - att. Cristobal Morales



The homily, on the origin of the Feast of Corpus Christi, was given by Fr Martin Queenan.
