Reminder - LMS 7th Walsingham Pilgrimage August 21st - 25th

The LMS 7th Walsingham Pilgrimage will take place from August 21st - 25th and you can still sign up to take part until 15th August 2016.

This will be our seventh walking pilgrimage to Walsingham for the conversion of England. Pilgrims meet at Ely on the Thursday evening and, after Mass early Friday morning, start the 55-mile walk to Walsingham.
During the pilgrimage there will be a sung Traditional Latin Mass each day, Confessions, recitation of the Rosary, the singing of traditional hymns, periods of silence and quiet reflection, and the chance to chat and relax with other pilgrims.
Arriving in Walsingham on the Sunday, pilgrims will be joined by day pilgrims from around the country. For those wishing to make a day pilgrimage on the Sunday, a coach will leave central London, returning in the evening.

Update for Arrangements for Funeral for Archie Campbell Murdoch

The Requiem Mass for Archie Campbell Murdoch due to take place at St Osmund, Salisbury on Monday 18th July 2016 at 10.30 am will be a High Mass. The celebrant is Fr Bede Rowe, Deacon Fr Philip Thomas and Sub Deacon Fr Alex Redman. All are welcome.  Please be aware that there is limited parking in Exeter Street.

Opportunity to Attend a Number of High Masses in Bath in April 2016

An opportunity to attend a number of High Masses has come to Clifton Diocese due to the LMS Priest, Deacon and Server training conference being held at Prior Park College, Bath during the period of Monday 4th to Thursday 7th April 2016.

There will be a public mass held every day at the following dates and times for those wishing to attend.

Monday 4^th April

5.00pm Solemn Mass of the Annunciation

Tuesday 5^th April

11.00am Mass of Vincent Ferrer

Wednesday 6^th April

11.00am Solemn Requiem Mass

Thursday 7^th April

11.00am Solemn Votive Mass of OLJC

In addition to these, there will be Vespers and Benediction on Tuesday 5^th at 5.00pm

Special Mass Days to Remember in Clifton Diocese 2016

The Holy Family

There are several special Latin Masses being celebrated throughout the Clifton Diocese in 2016 and you are all invited to note the dates and are most welcome to attend.

Masses are as follows:

Ascension

A High Mass will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Yeovil on Thursday 5th May 2016 at 7.00pm.  The Celebrant will be Father Jean-Patrice Coulon.

Pentecost

A High Mass will be celebrated at Downside Abbey, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Radstock on Saturday 14th May 2016 at 11.00am.  The celebrant will be Dom Boniface.

Corpus Christi

A High Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes, Weston-super-Mare on Thursday 26th May 2016 time to be confirmed. The celebrant will be Father Alexander Redman.

LMS Pilgrimage to Glastonbury

The annual LMS Pilgrimage to Glastonbury will take place on Saturday 10th September 2016. There will be a Mass held in the Lady Chapel, Abbey Grounds, Glastonbury at 11.00am followed by a Rosary Procession and after lunch Benediction in the church of Our Lady of Glastonbury. The celebrant will be Father Philip Thomas.

All Souls

A High Requiem Mass in Honour of the Holy Souls will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Bedminster, Bristol on Wednesday 2nd November 2016 at 7.30pm.  The celebrant will be Father Andrew Goodman.
